The Giants drew a line under the quarterback search with Dart: C. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Jaxson Dart, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
If Dart pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Abdul Carter
In the Round 1 slot they get a double-digit-sack hope. A real need, handled.
Pick18
Rnd1
Jaxson Dart
In the 18th pick they get their guy under center for the next decade, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
