Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesD FutureB-
The Eagles did enough to get by: C+.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Eagles walked out of the weekend still thin at interior defensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

The Davis pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Hit on Nate Wiggins and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
In slot 22 they get a press-man option on the boundary. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick53 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
By-the-book stuff, Payton Wilson at No. 53 squarely in line with his ranking. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick120 Rnd4 Blake Fisher
Good price on Blake Fisher in Round 4, Pick 20, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick143 Rnd5 Kalen King
Kalen King at pick No. 143 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick161 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in the 161st pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick171 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at the 171st overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick172 Rnd5 Isaiah Davis
A quiet steal in pick 172: Isaiah Davis for less than the market said. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick187 Rnd6 Ty'Ron Hopper
Ty'Ron Hopper at the 187th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick210 Rnd6 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
They let Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint come to them and pounced at pick No. 210. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick225 Rnd7 Cedric Johnson
They took Cedric Johnson at par in the 225th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick253 Rnd7 Brevyn Spann-Ford
Brevyn Spann-Ford in pick 253 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
