You can hear the double-takes from here. The Chiefs took Walter Rouse at Round 6, Pick 32, roughly 41 spots before his name belonged.

With tight end, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on TE-EDGE is the choice that costs them. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
