McCoy should have been long gone. The Chiefs pounced, and earned a B. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Bru McCoy got past him. The Chiefs do not have to explain a thing at slot 252. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They will need Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with quarterback and interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
