Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Titans, and a B to prove it. Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Titans to leave a draft. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Pritchett falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They are betting Frazier proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Malik Nabers
In pick 7 they get a go-to option on the outside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick38
Rnd2
Graham Barton
Nothing to complain about; Graham Barton went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick106
Rnd4
Cooper Beebe
They took Cooper Beebe at par in No. 106, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick144
Rnd5
Nehemiah Pritchett
Nice patience on Nehemiah Pritchett, who had no business lasting to slot 144. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick184
Rnd6
Ben Bywater
By-the-book stuff, Ben Bywater at pick No. 184 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick228
Rnd7
Miles Frazier
They paid a round early for Miles Frazier in the 228th pick, more than the board wanted. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
