Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesA- FutureB-
Jackson should have been long gone. The Titans pounced, and earned a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Titans watched Khyree Jackson slide 52 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Nugent reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
They did well to land Kool-Aid McKinstry in the 17th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick36 Rnd2 Amarius Mims
Amarius Mims at slot 36 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick39 Rnd2 Troy Franklin
Troy Franklin at pick 39 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick68 Rnd3 Kiran Amegadjie
They paid sticker price for Kiran Amegadjie in No. 68, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick107 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
Jalen McMillan slipping to pick No. 107 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick133 Rnd4 Drake Nugent
Drake Nugent in the 133rd pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick144 Rnd5 Smael Mondon Jr.
Smael Mondon Jr. at Round 5, Pick 8 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.
Pick185 Rnd6 Khyree Jackson
They robbed the room for Khyree Jackson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick228 Rnd7 Evan Williams
The board had Evan Williams higher than the Round 7 slot, and the safety fell to them anyway. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
