Draft Grade — Panthers

The Panthers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Panthers walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
Landing Slaughter that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
Peter Woods
In No. 19 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick51
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter at the Round 2 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
