A solid, sensible weekend for the Bears: B. Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bears never addressed running back, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
The cost of the Thomas reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
R Mason Thomas
In No. 25 they get a double-digit-sack hope, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick57
Rnd2
Lee Hunter
No drama and no debate, Lee Hunter went about where he belonged in pick 57. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
