The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Nix: A-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Bears were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Nix.

They will need McLaughlin to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Spending an early pick on safety with linebacker open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

In the end it comes back to Laiatu Latu, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
