Draft Grade — Chiefs

Best value of the weekend goes to the Chiefs for Scott: B. The board owed the Chiefs one, and it paid up: Keionte Scott, the No. 71 name on the board, sitting there at slot 109 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
Jeremiyah Love at No. 9 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick40
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
Caleb Banks at slot 40 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
Pick74
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
A clean, defensible pick in the 74th overall pick with a little surplus value in Eli Stowers. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick109
Rnd4
Keionte Scott
Keionte Scott at Round 4, Pick 9 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick146
Rnd5
Nic Anderson
They took Nic Anderson at par in the Round 5 slot, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick176
Rnd5
Jalen Stroman
Nice patience on Jalen Stroman, who had no business lasting to pick No. 176. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
