Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bengals spent the Round 6 slot on Fernando Carmona, a name most had 76 spots down the list. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Haulcy. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
