Jam2113 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Kinchens: B. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Kamren Kinchens got past him. The Seahawks do not have to explain a thing at pick No. 60.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Hicks pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver and running back still on the board. Reaching for McGregor left real value on the table behind him.
They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick47
Rnd2
Troy Fautanu
Troy Fautanu at the 47th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick60
Rnd2
Kamren Kinchens
They will replay Kamren Kinchens at pick No. 60 for years; that is how good the value is. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick70
Rnd3
Junior Colson
No drama and no debate, Junior Colson went about where he belonged in pick 70. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick78
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cooper Beebe. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick81
Rnd3
McKinnley Jackson
No edge and no loss on McKinnley Jackson in Round 3, Pick 17; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick118
Rnd4
Jaden Hicks
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending No. 118 on Jaden Hicks with wide receiver and running back unsolved.
Pick154
Rnd5
Dallin Holker
The board had Dallin Holker higher than the 154th overall pick, and the tight end fell to them anyway. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick194
Rnd6
Braiden McGregor
Braiden McGregor at the Round 6 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick236
Rnd7
Phil Jurkovec
Phil Jurkovec in the 236th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
