The Raiders bet big and early on Jalen Thompson, 83 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They have staked the next five years on Dante Moore, which is the only story that really matters here. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

That Williams pick is the receipt they will wave around later. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
