Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB
The Bears robbed the room for Majors. Final grade: B+. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jake Majors, the No. 107 name on the board, stolen at No. 147. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
They will need Tuimoloau to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
JT Tuimoloau
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for JT Tuimoloau. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick39
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker in Round 2, Pick 7 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick46
Rnd2
Deone Walker
Deone Walker in the 46th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick72
Rnd3
Xavier Watts
They barely believed it either: Xavier Watts still on the board at slot 72. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick147
Rnd5
Jake Majors
Steal is underselling it; Jake Majors at pick 147 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick193
Rnd6
Willie Lampkin
Willie Lampkin in No. 193 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick233
Rnd7
Trevor Etienne
The board had Trevor Etienne higher than the 233rd pick, and the running back fell to them anyway. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick240
Rnd7
Seth McLaughlin
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Seth McLaughlin at pick No. 240. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
