The board owed the Cowboys one, and it paid up: Carson Schwesinger, the No. 125 name on the board, sitting there at No. 248 like a gift left on the doorstep. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They will need Oliver to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Adding Nico Collins by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
