The Bears let Walker fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jalon Walker, the No. 20 name on the board, stolen at the 72nd overall pick. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The cost of the Jackson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
