You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cowboys did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.

However the rest shakes out, Brooks at that price is a win they earned. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
