This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Ted Hurst, the No. 175 name on the board, stolen at the Round 6 slot. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Kingsley Suamataia gives the group a proven body among the projects.

The trade work was a quiet net positive. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
