Draft Grade — Rams

The Rams won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B. The Rams did not so much draft Taylen Green as overpay for him, 93 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The Trent McDuffie deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
Fair-plus on Spencer Fano, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick61
Rnd2
Keionte Scott
They paid sticker price for Keionte Scott in pick 61, and that is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick93
Rnd3
Taylen Green
A wild overpay on Taylen Green in Round 3, Pick 29, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The roster fit checks out.
