roylornn DRAFTING FOR THEEagles
Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
B-
ValueB-
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Eagles. Every other box got a look, but cornerback did not. The Eagles will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Reaching for Lance left real value on the table behind him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Cashius Howell
By-the-book stuff, Cashius Howell at pick No. 23 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick54
Rnd2
Eli Stowers
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Eli Stowers. It fills a real need, too.
Pick68
Rnd3
Gabe Jacas
Gabe Jacas at Round 3, Pick 4 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick98
Rnd3
Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance at No. 98 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
