yesguy40 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB-
A franchise passer in Nix headlines a B weekend for the Seahawks. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Seahawks committed. Bo Nix is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The Berger steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They are betting Gray proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Bo Nix
In the 25th overall pick they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick57
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
A straight-up fair deal on T'Vondre Sweat at pick 57, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick78
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
They took Cooper Beebe at par in Round 3, Pick 14, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick88
Rnd3
Christian Mahogany
They let Christian Mahogany come to them and pounced at No. 88. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick91
Rnd3
Michael Hall Jr.
They paid sticker price for Michael Hall Jr. in the Round 3 slot, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick119
Rnd4
Tommy Eichenberg
The board had cheaper options than Tommy Eichenberg at pick No. 119, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick126
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray in slot 126 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick152
Rnd5
Javon Foster
The board fumbled Javon Foster all the way to the 152nd pick, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick168
Rnd5
LaDarius Henderson
A tidy little value on LaDarius Henderson in slot 168, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick194
Rnd6
Julian Pearl
A slide stopped in the 194th overall pick, with Julian Pearl worth more than the price. Not a spot anyone had flagged, which makes it a head-scratcher.
Pick233
Rnd7
Jalen Berger
Taking Jalen Berger in the Round 7 slot is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick234
Rnd7
Erick All
Erick All at No. 234 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The roster fit checks out.
