Draft Grade — Titans
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
Nobody dealt better than the Titans this weekend: A-.

The real work happened on the phones. The Titans fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They banked enough surplus on Ramsey to cover a lot of smaller sins. If Siereveld pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Titans paired the rookies with proven help, Amari Cooper leading the way.

Bottom line, with Jeremiyah Love leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In the 11th pick they get a workhorse for the backfield at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
By-the-book stuff, Jake Slaughter at the Round 2 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick38 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
They paid sticker price for Anthony Hill Jr. in No. 38, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick53 Rnd2 Sonny Styles
They did well to land Sonny Styles in slot 53, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick65 Rnd3 Kamari Ramsey
The board had Kamari Ramsey higher than Round 3, Pick 1, and the safety fell to them anyway. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick70 Rnd3 A'Mauri Washington
They took A'Mauri Washington at par in the 70th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick78 Rnd3 Austin Siereveld
Austin Siereveld at pick No. 78 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick84 Rnd3 Ian Strong
They read the board right and Ian Strong was the payoff at pick 84. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick101 Rnd4 Omar Cooper Jr.
A tidy little value on Omar Cooper Jr. in No. 101, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick141 Rnd5 Bray Hubbard
A reasonable price with a little left over, Bray Hubbard in the Round 5 slot. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick144 Rnd5 Iapani Laloulu
The board had cheaper options than Iapani Laloulu at pick No. 144, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179 Rnd6 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
No edge and no loss on Jermaine Mathews Jr. in the 179th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick236 Rnd7 Barion Brown
They jumped the gun on Barion Brown, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
