Best value of the weekend goes to the Lions for Bowman Jr.: B-.

Somebody in the 194th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Lions sat still while Billy Bowman Jr., the No. 115 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Every board in the league had Thomas lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
