Draft Grade — Lions
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Lions kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The war room fell hard for Donovan Edwards, and it showed at pick No. 59: 26 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Fatheree II makes the weekend a net positive.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 JC Latham
In the 27th overall pick they get a blindside protector, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick59 Rnd2 Donovan Edwards
They reached into another round for Donovan Edwards, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick84 Rnd3 Adisa Isaac
Adisa Isaac at No. 84 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cam Hart
A reach for Cam Hart in Round 3, Pick 28; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick127 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
They let Jalen McMillan come to them and pounced at pick No. 127. It fills a real need, too.
Pick164 Rnd5 Braden Fiske
A conviction pick on Braden Fiske at slot 164 that the board grades a round light. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick205 Rnd6 Ricky Pearsall
Ricky Pearsall in Round 6, Pick 30 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick248 Rnd7 Reuben Fatheree II
The board had Reuben Fatheree II higher than No. 248, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
