The Lions won the night they stopped Tracy Jr. from sliding. Grade: B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tyrone Tracy Jr. got past him. The Lions do not have to explain a thing at the 247th pick. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for McGregor left real value on the table behind him.

They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
