When a board-topper like Jaylen Reed slides to Round 6, Pick 20, you do not overthink it, and the Lions did not.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
