If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Lions, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend.

However the rest shakes out, Toia at that price is a win they earned. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Kayvon Thibodeaux deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
