Nobody had Jalen Thompson this high, and it is not close. The Lions reached 79 spots to get him at No. 223. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Chambliss. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
