For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Lions walked out of the weekend still thin at safety, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Landing Tampa that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. On the needs board they went 3 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
