The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Lions reached some 49 spots for Myles Jones, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They banked enough surplus on Turner to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
