Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Marcus Harris, the No. 153 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. So much rides on Michael Penix Jr. that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
