Draft Grade — Lions
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Lions.

The Lions torched the value chart for Zion Logue, taking him 74 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Carter. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kamari Lassiter
In slot 30 they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick62 Rnd2 Adisa Isaac
No edge and no loss on Adisa Isaac in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick73 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
A conviction pick on Mike Sainristil at pick 73 that the board grades a round light. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick93 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter in pick No. 93 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick167 Rnd5 Zion Logue
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zion Logue this early at the 167th overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick208 Rnd6 Zakhari Franklin
They jumped the gun on Zakhari Franklin, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick251 Rnd7 Ja'Had Carter
Ja'Had Carter slid further than he should have, and Round 7, Pick 31 is lovely value for the safety. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
