A respectable, level-headed haul for the 49ers: B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The 49ers reached some 44 spots for Zane Durant, and value like that does not grow back.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Reese. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The trade work was a quiet net positive.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
