The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jaylen Reed, the No. 183 name on the board, in the Round 7 slot. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

If Travis pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
