The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Browns reached some 45 spots for Dante Dowdell, and value like that does not grow back.

Landing Scott that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
