If confidence were a draft strategy, the Seahawks would have aced it. Aaron Lewis at the 236th overall pick is 62 spots clear of where he belonged.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Whatever Bo Nix becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

The Abrams-Draine pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
