The Titans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Johnny Dixon, the No. 200 name on the board, in slot 252.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They will need Williams to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

So much rides on JC Latham that the real verdict is a season or two away.
