You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with Tim Smith in slot 232.

Getting Mickens where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
