Somebody in the 49th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bengals sat still while Brian Thomas Jr., the No. 27 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
