The Jets robbed the room for Smith-Wade. Final grade: B+.

The Jets did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Chau Smith-Wade fell into the 185th pick. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. The Jets clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
