Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The 49ers spent the Round 7 slot on Marcus Harris, a name the board had a full 69 spots lower.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

The Majors pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
