Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureC+
The Ravens did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. The Ravens spent real capital to be 82 picks early on Jaylan Ford, and the board is going to hold them to it. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Sainristil falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick40
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
They did well to land Xavier Legette in the 40th pick, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick71
Rnd3
D.J. James
Nice patience on D.J. James, who had no business lasting to the 71st overall pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick95
Rnd3
Jaylan Ford
Jaylan Ford at Round 3, Pick 32 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick96
Rnd3
Javon Foster
They reached a country mile for Javon Foster at pick 96, and the board is aghast. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick103
Rnd4
Ja'Lynn Polk
They will replay Ja'Lynn Polk at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
Pick104
Rnd4
Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe at No. 104 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick130
Rnd4
Mike Sainristil
Circle this one: Mike Sainristil at pick 130 is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick134
Rnd4
MarShawn Lloyd
Good price on MarShawn Lloyd in slot 134, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick155
Rnd5
Kris Abrams-Draine
Steal is underselling it; Kris Abrams-Draine at Round 5, Pick 19 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick177
Rnd6
Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis in the 177th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It fills a real need, too.
Pick237
Rnd7
Rondell Bothroyd
They left a pile of value on the table to take Rondell Bothroyd this early at the 237th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
