Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
Nobody dealt better than the Raiders this weekend: B+.

If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Raiders, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

Reaching for Rattler left real value on the table behind him. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Flournoy.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick35 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Graham Barton in the 35th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick36 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
They liked T.J. Tampa enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 2, Pick 4. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick51 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
By-the-book stuff, Payton Wilson at the 51st pick squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick67 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes at No. 67 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick77 Rnd3 Jaylen Wright
A clean, defensible pick in slot 77 with a little surplus value in Jaylen Wright. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick90 Rnd3 Spencer Rattler
Spencer Rattler at pick 90 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick112 Rnd4 Theo Johnson
Theo Johnson at pick No. 112 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It fills a real need, too.
Pick117 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
A conviction pick on Mohamed Kamara at the Round 4 slot that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick148 Rnd5 Luke McCaffrey
Luke McCaffrey at pick 148 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick151 Rnd5 Christian Jones
Taking Christian Jones in the 151st overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick208 Rnd6 Logan Lee
Logan Lee at Round 6, Pick 33 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick223 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
A reach for Trevin Wallace in No. 223; a little patience would have been rewarded. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick226 Rnd7 Ryan Flournoy
Ryan Flournoy in the 226th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick229 Rnd7 Andrew Raym
Andrew Raym in slot 229 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
