Draft Grade — Rams
Overall D-
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesF FutureD
The Rams let Moore fall and pounced. Final grade: D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Rams shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They will need Royals to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Moore.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In the 14th pick they get a workhorse for the backfield at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick26 Rnd1 Walter Nolen
In pick No. 26 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick53 Rnd2 Jalen Royals
Jalen Royals at the 53rd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick90 Rnd3 Jermari Harris
The board had cheaper options than Jermari Harris at No. 90, and it noticed. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick100 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
A slide stopped in Round 3, Pick 36, with Donovan Jackson worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick120 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
They will replay Malachi Moore at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick126 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Joshua Farmer at Round 4, Pick 25 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It fills a real need, too.
Pick192 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
A clean, defensible pick in the 192nd overall pick with a little surplus value in Jaylen Reed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick204 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
