The Bears let Smith fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Brashard Smith at the Round 6 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

Reaching for Majors left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Adding Jermaine Eluemunor by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Tate Ratledge and all.
