Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The Simpson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In the end it comes back to Olumuyiwa Fashanu, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
