The Seahawks lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. It bottoms out at a F.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Seahawks had louder needs to answer first. They are betting Leary proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

There is no spinning it; the board won this weekend going away.
