Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Ravens and Fitzgerald: B-. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Ryan Fitzgerald, pick No. 245, roughly 128 picks past where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Frazier has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Jalon Walker
In slot 27 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. More want than need.
Pick59
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
They talked themselves into Donovan Jackson at pick No. 59, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91
Rnd3
Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke at pick 91 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick128
Rnd4
Malachi Moore
They barely believed it either: Malachi Moore still on the board at the 128th pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick136
Rnd4
Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at the Round 4 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick176
Rnd5
Devin Neal
Somehow Devin Neal was still sitting there in No. 176, and they pounced on premier running back value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick178
Rnd5
Joshua Gray
Joshua Gray at the 178th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick185
Rnd6
Smael Mondon Jr.
You do not let a linebacker like Smael Mondon Jr. reach Round 6, Pick 7 and blink. They did not. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick205
Rnd6
Oronde Gadsden II
Steal is underselling it; Oronde Gadsden II at Round 6, Pick 27 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick213
Rnd6
Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier at pick No. 213 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick245
Rnd7
Ryan Fitzgerald
The board fumbled Ryan Fitzgerald all the way to the Round 7 slot, and they scooped it up. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
