The Steelers spent real capital to be 64 picks early on Dallas Gant, and the board is going to hold them to it.

That McCaffrey pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Steelers indulged a want in Zinter while a need in quarterback, edge rusher and other spots stayed open.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
