The real work happened on the phones. The Lions fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Reaching for Gray left real value on the table behind him. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
